Connor being allergic to cats but finding a cute, fat little kitten in the rain and bringing it up to Oliver’s apartment because he KNOWS Oliver loves cats and won’t be able to say no. That Ollie hasn’t gotten a cat because he doesn’t wanna bother Connor’s allergies. But he sees this bundle of wet fur meowing pathetically from inside Connor’s coat, his boyfriend already sneezing and stuffed up. Oliver can’t help but start cooing and losing his cool because he wants to warm them both up and he keeps saying they can’t keep it and he can’t get too close or fall in love.

But then he and the kitten fall asleep together and Connor knows he’s going to invest in a Benadryl stock and at least he could give Oliver this. At least he could do /this/ right.

And it’s worth it years later when he’s stuffy and watery eyed, woken up in the morning by Oliver trying to quietly scold their chubby kitty because the cat ruined all of his coding work by hopping on the keyboard. And Connor just smiles and comes out to see Oliver getting his face mauled by licks and rubs, work forgotten and toothy grin taking up his whole face.
